Aliant Concept Store Wins National Retail Award - June 6, 2006.

The store, featuring a variety of DIME’s digital signage products, won the Retail Council of Canada’s (RCC) prestigious “New Retail Store Design Concept Award" at the annual Excellence in Retailing Awards. The RCC award recognizes Aliant for innovation in creating the store's visually enticing layout and design.

The store incorporates DIME’s merchandising, window display and interactive solutions.

Pharmasave Atlantic

With more than 400 stores in nine provinces, Pharmasave is one of Canada’s leading independent pharmacy and drugstore retailers. Since being founded in 1981, Pharmasave has focused on building a national platform of community based retail outlets designed to provide customers with exceptional service, products and advice.



Each Pharmasave store operates independently to serve its individual community, which ensures both programs and services tailored to the needs of customers and a commitment to helping all customers.

DIME was selected to provide a comprehensive in-store visual communications system for their Atlantic Region, as well as some accompanying clinics.

Aliant Concept Store

Aliant is Atlantic Canada’s leading information and communications technology company. Aliant selected DIME to develop digital signage solutions for a concept store featuring an innovative and interactive environment allowing customers to experience their full suite of information, communications and entertainment offerings.

DIME consulted with Aliant’s architects and IT department to assess the technical requirements for the store’s digital signage network. Taking into account the specific needs and constraints of this application, DIME designed the digital signage network as well as a spectacular PlayStation 2 gaming display.

Both the digital signage system and the gaming display utilize a combination of LCD screens and on-glass projection to create a high-impact visual experience for guests at the store. The on-glass digital signage advertises Aliant’s products, services and promotions to shoppers walking past the store, while gaming sessions being played inside the store are projected onto another window for people walking by to see.

Merchandising Displays

Animated content for the digital signage system was created by DIME’s multimedia production team. DIME offered Aliant a turnkey digital signage solution, providing the network design, hardware, software, installation and content creation for the concept store’s digital signage network.
